MY STORY:

Growing up Travis was a soccer player and didn’t figure he was built for running, much less triathlon. Back then Travis ran just to stay in shape and when he reached college Travis decided to just focus on college instead of playing soccer. While in college Travis tried mountain biking, but found that he crashed far too many times. It was the Cal Poly Triathlon Team that showed Travis the light and helped him fall in love with triathlon and he has been involved in the sport ever since.

Let’s just say triathlon didn’t come easy to Travis. When he began he could barely swim 50 yards without stopping, and was pretty wobbly on a bike, so needless to say he has come a long way. Since his start Travis has gone to the ITU Long Course World Championships in 2004 and 2006, ran the Boston Marathon and finished Ironman Wisconsin. Not too shabby for someone who, “figured he wasn’t built for running”! To conclude Travis states, “It has been an amazing journey and I have met some incredible people and some of my best friends along the way.”
