Also known as the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia has claimed the title of fifth largest city in America. Philadelphia is the birth place of American history. The original thirteen colonies were centered on this city because it was the second biggest city in the British Empire next to London. The American Revolution began here and was the original capital of the United States. Benjamin Franklin, a native Philadelphian, was also of great importance to the rise of liberty and freedom in America.
This great American city is perfect for the adventurous tourists. One can learn about our country’s history at Independence Hall and see the Liberty Bell and then take off to the streets of The Gallery for some shopping.
