MY STORY:

In short, Brenna grew up loving to run! She ran Cross Country for Seward High School in Seward, AK, made it to state all four years placing 12th, 5th, 5th and 13th. She also participated in Track & Field and Cross Country Skiing. During the last part of her senior year she switched schools and ran for Monett High School in Monett, MO where she ran track and made it to the state finals! In college, Brenna ran for Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO for 2 years. After 2 years of running for them she quit the team to concentrate on her studies - for which she has a Bachelors of Science in Biology. After this Brenna ran off and on for a few years before her and her husband had their son in 2005. After having her first child she took a short break and didn’t start back racing competitively until 2006- now she can't stop!

Brenna’s says that her main motivation to compete is, “setting a good example for my son who is almost 3. I want him to grow up thinking that exercise is good for you and fun - I don't want him being a statistic of obesity. He already loves to run! He competed in the Youth Series for one of the series I ran, and got an award for running 6 of the 8 races! He was so proud!” Looks like Brenna is well on her way to having another runner in the family!
